Structurer/dealer link deepens

The role of the structurer has historically been very technical, said officials. Often, their relationship with the sales dealer has only been to test the efficacy of a solution that they might have developed for a particular client. But banks are increasingly seeking FX structuring staff with sales skills who can attend client meetings alongside dealers and explain the reasoning behind particular solutions.
