New fund taps computational trade models

The new absolute return fund, dubbed Financial Labs, will focus on G-7 currencies. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it will follow a systematic trading style based on proprietary trading models that seek to exploit inefficiencies in the currency markets. It will target credited investors and institutions globally.

"For the past year, we have seen a lot of demand from our client base for managed products, and in particular FX as an asset class," said Thomas Plaut, co- founder of Financial Labs.
