Merrill Lynch Appoints Three Co-Heads Of Foreign Exchange Options Operations

Merrill Lynch has appointed three co-heads of foreign exchange options trading, officials confirm. The new co-heads, Koon Fong in London and Paul Mulvaney and Guillaume Fonkenell in New York, all come from the derivatives side of the business, sources claim. Fong was most recently working in long-dated FX options, while Mulvaney has been acting as non-dollar swaps desk head and Fonkenell - a recent hire from Bankers Trust - led the credit derivatives desk, these sources say.
