U.K. Corporations Prefer Banks To Brokers Cite Full Array Of Services, Relationships

CORPORATIONS

U.K. corporations generally prefer to do their foreign exchange business with banks rather than with currency brokers, an informal survey indicates.

In principle, brokers can offer companies better prices than individual banks can, since brokers have access to the highest bid and lowest offer provided by a range of banks. Moreover, from a broker's point of view, dealing with corporations makes sense because they don't have to rebate any of their fees as is usually the case with banks.
