SPDR Gold Trust to trade futures and options
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) gave approval for trading in futures on the ETF and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gave its approval for trading in options.
Christopher Cox, chairman at the SEC in Washington, DC, said the products offer investors in gold an alternative that might be a more convenient and cost-effective way to manage risk.
