JRJ Group to acquire majority stake in Marex
LONDON – London-based investment company JRJ Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in institutional brokerage company, Marex.
Funds affiliated with Marathon Asset Management, the current majority shareholder, will retain a minority stake in the business, as will Marex management. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and expected to close in early 2010. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
