UBS appoints senior algo trader in FRC division

Barclays' algo expert joins Swiss bank in London

Pierre Vermaak, head of fixed-income algorithmic modelling at Barclays, has left the bank to join UBS's foreign exchange, rates and credit electronic-trading division.

Based in London, Vermaak is understood to be filling the role vacated by Tom Klocker, former head of algorithmic trading for rates and credit at UBS, who left to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch earlier this year, as global head of electronic-trading strategy for fixed income, currencies and commodities.
