SG CIB’s Escoffier takes the reins at Newedge

Multi-asset class derivatives brokerage Newedge has appointed David Escoffier, deputy head of global markets at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB), as its new chief executive, as the French bank negotiates to buy out an additional 50% stake in Newedge from rival Crédit Agricole. The deal, which was announced yesterday, would give Société Générale full ownership of Newedge.
