Barclays appoints McGowan to head FX trading

Barclays has promoted Adrian McGowan, previously the bank’s global head of foreign exchange options and forwards, and head of G-10 FX for Europe, to global head of FX trading.

McGowan, who begins in his new role this week, relocated last year from Barclays in Singapore, where he had been head of FX trading for Asia-Pacific, to head global FX options and forwards in London, a move that prompted several FX management changes.

McGowan will continue to work closely with Jim Iorio, head of FX
