BAML hires emerging markets head from Goldman Sachs

Babak Eftekhari is set to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) as head of European emerging markets trading in London.

He will report to Bernard Mensah, head of fixed-income, currencies and commodities trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea), and emerging markets ex-Asia global markets.

Eftekhari joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was head of emerging markets FX trading for central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He had been at the US firm since 2001.
