Nomura hires ex-RBS corporate risk business head

Nomura has appointed Gary Cottle as managing director and head of fixed income for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea), replacing Georges Assi, deputy global head of fixed income, who left the bank in late July to take time out of the industry.

Cottle was most recently global head of sales for corporate and government-related clients at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and a board member of the investment bank. He was also responsible for global structuring across the markets business and
