US banks suffering from short notice periods

Where European banks have notice periods of three months or more, US banks tend to tie staff in for a month and are often less rigorous in enforcing notice periods. This has led them to be more susceptible to having staff poached, according to Lori Courtney, New York based managing director at global recruitment firm Sasqua Group. She said: “People won’t wait three months for a spot trader where they can pick one up more quickly. One bank in New York recently started applying 45-day notice
