HBOS hires spot trader
Martin Chantree
has joined HBOS in London as a spot trader, reporting to London-based chief dealer, Stuart Moss. He replaces Philip Duncombe, who left the bank in mid-January.Chantree joins from Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), where he spent one week as a G7 trader (FX Week, February 21). In that role, he reported to Bernie Kipping, chief dealer at CBA. A CBA source said no replacement has been made as yet, but the bank is scouting a successor.
