Liquidity drought hits ruble options
Total trading volumes for futures and options on the RTS fell 21.1% from over 1 trillion rubles in August to 860.5 billion rubles or 21.1 million contracts for the period between September 1 and 30. This included 67.2 billion rubles in the evening trading session.
Meanwhile, the oldest stock exchange of modern Russia also revealed a sharp decline in trading volumes for futures contracts in the ruble. These fell 20.14% from 927.4 billion in August to stand at 740.6 billion last month.
