Simon will co-ordinate the sale of currency and commodity products to clients operating in multiple time zones, and ensure seamless coverage across JP Morgan's major centres.
He will also be responsible for the following European sales teams: hedge funds, including jointly running the commodities hedge funds team with Jose Cogolludo, central banks and asset managers that operate in a manner similar to hedge funds.
A spokesperson for the bank in London said JP Morgan is investing in the currencies
