UBS FX trader sacked
Sandra Wang, a UBS FX trader in Taiwan, was dismissed on May 1 for unauthorised trading activities comprising a number of FX spot and forwards positions in the treasury operations, said officials. Wang’s dismissal comes after the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) in Taiwan told UBS to relieve the dealer of her duties. An employee with control and oversight responsibilities over Wang was also relieved of their duties for failing to supervise the trader effectively
