ABN Amro trading chief quits ahead of merger

The move ends Hawkins’ 11-year career at the Dutch bank, which began when he was hired as Singapore-based head of interest rate trading for Asia in 1996. Five years later, he moved to London to become global head of interest rates derivatives trading before assuming his most recent role in 2004.
