Korean retail FX guidelines cause concern

Released on April 15 by the Korea Futures Association and the Financial Supervisory Services (FSS), the guidelines slap on stringent IT requirements that prohibit futures commission merchants (FCMs) from white-labelling FX trading platforms.

The guidelines follow the January 27 ammendment to the Futures Trading Law Enforcement Ordinance that now allows Korean futures trading companies to conduct margin FX trading business.
