Smith resurfaces at BarCap

Smith had previously worked for UBS as an FX vanilla options trader in the same city. He left the Swiss bank in July when it took the decision to relocate its trading operations to Zurich (FX Week, May 1, 2006).
This move marks the second derivatives-related former UBS hire made by BarCap in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Jamil Ghalayini joined the UK bank following his departure from UBS in December (FX Week, December 18, 2006). At the Swiss bank, Ghalayini had worked on FX structuring, since
