The bank has made Larry Goodman head of emerging market strategy in New York, reporting to Bob Sinche, head of global FX strategy in the same city. He joined in late July from the US Treasury Department, where he was director and senior fellow.
Goodman's position is a new one, and his appointment was made because of the increasing importance of emerging markets, according to Sinche. He said: "The hire, which will allow the bank to co-ordinate emerging markets strategy across the world, reflects
