He reported to Grant Whiteside, global head of FX at Lehman in London. The desk declined to comment further on the departure or plans for a replacement.
De Gennaro's current whereabouts are unknown, although a bank source said that he may be taking time out from the business.
Early this year, the bank lost Duncan Rule, head of forwards in London, to Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) (FX Week, March 14). The bank also lost the senior vice-president in its FX business, Joe Landes, to DrKW
