CME posts strong results

The exchange reported a 24% increase in net revenues to $233 million for the fourth quarter of 2005 compared with the fourth quarter of 2004. Net revenues climbed 25% to $921 million for the year compared with $734 million for 2004. In January 2006, there was an average daily volume of 3.3 million contracts, 30% up on last year. For FX there was a 33% increase to 384,000 contracts in January 2006 over the same month in 2005. E-traded eurodollar options saw a particularly large increase
