FX Sales Staff See Salary Boost As FX Traders Lose Out

LONDON -- Banks in the City are paying less for FX trading staff and more for FX sales staff, say industry recruiters. They were responding to the latest Monks Partnership salary survey for FX traders, which shows a gradual decrease in FX trading salaries over the last fifteen months.

Banks are focusing on corporate FX clients and have shifted away from proprietary FX trading, say recruiters. The demand for experienced FX sales staff has consequently increased, they say.
