BANKS
Foreign exchange income at ABN Amro Bank in 1995 rose 12 per cent to Fl613 million from Fl548 million in 1994. Although the performance was hardly stellar by the levels achieved in 1993, the result reflected a strong finish to the year after a slow start in early 1995, officials say.
ABN Amro is active in the Dutch guilder, as well as the major currencies, including the Japanese yen, French franc, British pound and Swiss franc. In 1995, ABN Amro placed sixth in FX Week's Top 30 Banks worldwide
