ABN Amro Centalizes FX Activity In Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM--ABN Amro Bank is concentrating its European FX market making operation in Amsterdam, and is downsizing its activity in the London market. The move will involve the transfer of a number of staff to the bank's headquarters in the Netherlands, as well as the loss of several City-based trading and sales employees (FXW, January 4).

Officials at the bank in Amsterdam say the decision has been taken in response to the introduction of the euro and the arrival of a single euro in-zone economy
