BofA in FX hiring spree

NEW YORK -- After significantly downsizing its FX business in 2001, Bank of America is this year preparing to hire up to 30 foreign exchange dealers to offices globally, head of global FX in New York Beau Cummins told FX Week.

"We have streamlined our structure without hurting our profit margins. Our headcount is down and performance is up, so we are now more nimble and can add to our high-calibre team by investing in some more superstars," said Cummins.

The move, amid reports of widespread job
