Options pricing guru retires

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Steve Kohlhagen, co-author of the options pricing model Garman-Kohlhagen Formula and head of foreign exchange and fixed income at Wachovia Securities, is resigning from the bank in August.
Kohlhagen will stay on the board until the end of 2002 to oversee risk management and help the bank find a successor.
Kohlhagen has worked at Wachovia since its September 2001 merger with First Union Bank of North Carolina, which he joined in January 1993 from American International Group
