Swedbank N.Y. Loses Andersen Delays Start Of FX Trading Unit

The resignation of general manager Fleming Andersen has thrown a monkey wrench into SwedBank's plans to start trading foreign exchange in New York, say sources at the bank. SwedBank, which was hoping to begin operations sometime last month (FX Week, November 23), is now setting its sights on late spring, after a new general manager has been brought aboard.

In the meantime, SwedBank's head-office has dispatched Sune Doll to its New York branch where he is functioning as its acting general manager
