Sohei Sasaki to head treasury at UFJ Bank in Tokyo
UFJ Bank has named Sohei Sasaki as general manager of its international trading and treasury (ITT) department, based in Tokyo. Sasaki assumes responsibility for the combined global FX sales and trading activity of Sanwa Bank and Tokai Bank, which merged on January 15 to form UFJ Bank and is part of UFJ Group.
A spokesperson for UFJGroup confirmed recent press reports that UFJ Bank would cut its headcount in Tokyo by 20% as a result of overlapping
