Bear Stearns bucks the trend and boosts forex

LONDON -- Bear Stearns is continuing a drive to boost its FX sales team in London -- as other investment banks face a wave of job cuts from global centres.

The company last week announced the hire of Gauthier Chauvin to work on FX sales to French-speaking customers. Chauvin, who joins the bank from Credit Lyonnais in Paris, joins other recent additions Rodolfo D’Avino and Jeff Crowne in the London office.
