Bank Of Montreal, RBC Reveal Second Qtr FX Trading Revenues

Officials at the Bank of Montreal and the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) reported that foreign exchange trading revenues slid in the second quarter ended April 30 from levels posted in the first quarter, but remained buoyant compared with levels posted in the same period a year ago. The quarter-to-quarter slide appears to confirm reports that March and April were particularly difficult months in the FX market.
