Bank Of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Plans New Operation In New Zealand

Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi plans to open a branch in New Zealand and has registered through its wholly owned subsidiary Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (Australia) to do so, say officials. The office will be headed by general manager Keiji Miyoshi and will have at least one treasury dealer, responsible for marketing treasury services in New Zealand, says Michael Ryan, assistant treasurer in Sydney.

Ryan says the bank isn't opening an interbank desk, but will instead service corporate customers. He adds
