Matif Names 'Associated Brokers' For Currency Options Contracts

The Marché à Terme Internationale de France (Matif) has announced an "associated broker" scheme for its new currency options contracts, which will be launched May 20. The scheme, which involves 15 broking firms, is in addition to a market-maker scheme with three participants that was already announced.

According to Patricia Rouast, a spokesperson for the exchange, the 15 brokers have agreed to maintain trading teams in the currency options pit and a contact person in the trading room. They will
