HSBC doubles EM strategy
Mike Newton joins in New York to manage the new team as global head of EM strategy. He was previously regional FX strategist at HSBC in Hong Kong, and adds to Clyde Wardle, the existing FX strategist in New York, who covers Latin America. HSBC has already hired an un-named replacement for Newton in Hong Kong, and plans to add a fourth member in London to cover EM strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
