Abaxbank builds treasury
Lacopone's hire followed that of Marcello Palermo, who joined in May as a spot FX trader. Lacopone was previously at Banca Popolare di Vicenza in Milan, while Palermo joined from IntesaBci in the same city.
The third hire was Marcello Gambacorta, who joined Abaxbank in January from Cofiri in Rome to concentrate on interest rate distribution.
The appointments take the treasury team headcount to 16, including two in spot FX and two in FX options.
