Deutsche bank has hired Daniel Luiz Gleizer, a former deputy governor for international affairs at the central bank of Brazil, as managing director and head of its global markets division in Brazil.

Gleizer will manage currency and interest rate derivatives, credit derivatives and structured products, as well as other capital market functions. Based in Sao Paulo, he reports to Ariel Sigal, Deutsche’s head of global markets for Latin America, and Roger Karam, chief executive of Deutsche Bank
