Richards takes on the role in addition to his responsibilities as global head of FX hedge fund distribution. He will remain in Stamford, Connecticut and continues to report to Fabian Shey, global head of FX distribution.
Garwood, meanwhile, is understood to be leaving the bank to join hedge fund Millennium to head product development.
