Vietnam opens its doors to Travelex

The deal signed with Vietnam International Bank (VIB) means overseas Vietnamese can send money home through 9,000 Travelex offices in 80 countries around the world.
Recipients can collect remittances at any VIB foreign exchange bureau in the country. Trinh Thanh Binh, deputy director general of VIB, pointed to the increase in monies being sent home from overseas. He said: "Overseas remittance is on the rise. In 2004, we saw around $3.5 billion and this is expected to rise."
