Canada taking on FX staff

LONDON & TORONTO - Canadian dealers are bucking the trend and bringing in key forex personnel, as research claims financial institutions from the region are in a stronger position than US and European rivals.

The Royal Bank of Canada has hired Natasha Brook-Walters as global head of FX and fixed-income sales, according to a London-based headhunter. Brook-Walters started last week (January 12) in London and is believed to be reporting to Avril Pomper, head of fixed-income distribution for Europe
