Forex bonuses intact

The annual survey of more than 3,000 front-office traders found salary and bonus packages paid to London's City market traders in certain markets dropped on average 40% due to the international credit crisis. However, Wall Street's gloom was considerably worse - there packages were slashed by an average of 60% in the same areas.

The largest falls in the UK occurred in the debt and credit markets, where Tier I managing directors received packages of £685,000, down £290,000 on the previous year.
