Morgan Stanley creates global head of FX role

Mettler, a long-standing staff member at the US investment bank, fills a newly created role.
Mettler was previously a senior FX trader and has a background as an options trader. He will report to co-heads of global interest rates and currencies, Phil Newcomb and Roberto Hoornweg.
Previously, the FX sales and trading desk was run by Newcomb as part of a wider remit. Sources indicated that because of an increased workload, Newcomb decided to delegate the management of the desk. He created the
