Knight prepares EMS for FX

"It's a multi-asset-class product that traders can use to get to the market in a broker-neutral way," said Tom Joyce, Knight's chairman and chief executive.

Currently, users can trade single stocks, baskets of stocks, futures and options. But in its next release, the company plans to have its FX electronic communications network (ECN) HotspotFX-integrated. Knight acquired the FX ECN last year for $77.5 million (FX Week, April 10, 2006).

Bill Cronin, a managing director at Knight, said that once
