Russia confirms rouble conversion
In a speech at the Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 7, Dmitry Medvedev, Russian president, said: "The transformation of Moscow into a powerful global financial centre and the transformation of the rouble into one of the leading regional reserve currencies are the key ingredients to ensure the competitiveness of our financial system. To facilitate these things, an action plan will be adopted in the very near future."
