Thailand acts to curb baht speculation

Analysts said a notice issued last Tuesday (November 7) by BoT was introduced in an effort to thin out speculative trading on a stronger baht. Since the start of the year, the unit has rallied some 11.7% versus the US dollar against expectations, with current account dynamics improving. On Friday last week, the currency had reached 36.64 against the greenback.
