BoE forms new FX committee

LONDON -- The Bank of England has formed a new FX sub-committee aimed at responding to operational incidents in light of September 11.

The group will be a sub-committee of BoE’s existing Foreign Exchange Joint Standing Committee, and will be called the Operations Sub-Committee. It is managed by Brian Gracey, head of treasury operations at HSBC in London, and met for the first time in late April, although no details are currently available.

The group will comprise 16 members drawn from banks active
