Siam Commercial to launch FX trading on the internet

BANGKOK – Siam Commercial Bank has become the first Thai financial institution to offer Web-based FX trading, with the launch of its new service, scb-fx, last week.

Siam Commercial, one of the largest four banks in the country, has used Dublin-based software firm Cognotec’s AutoDeal Lite e-commerce platform to run scb-fx. Initially the service will be offered directly to its corporate clients in Thailand, but there are plans to extend it to regional offices and clients in southeast Asia.
