A failed message transmittal that resulted in a lost trade over Reuters' Dealing 2000-1 conversational foreign exchange dealing service prompted a Reuters official to send a letter to the chairman of the Forex Association of London, clarifying procedures for handling "connection lost" messages that occasionally appear when using D2000-1, confirm Reuters officials.
