Commerzbank Strengthens E-push

FRANKFURT--Commerzbank is launching a web trading site for its clients’ FX in September 2000.

The bank’s late entry in the race could cost it business in the expanding internet trading market. But it also means the German bank has been able to pursue an alternative strategy.

"We need to have a tailor-made service for our clients so we can be flexible about adding new products," says Alfred Schorno, global head of foreign exchange in Frankfurt.

Many banks have already launched internet trading
