Bearish dollar view supports JP Morgan

Lei Shen, FX strategist at JP Morgan in London, said the view has been driven by a number of factors, including a structurally weak US balance of payments.

"We held a moderate bearish dollar view due to offsetting factors. Supporting the dollar were our above-consensus Fed funds forecasts and HIA flows predictions, but these factors were more than offset by structurally weak US balance-of-payments position," he said.
