No soft patch for the dollar

Jeff Cooper, vice-president, foreign exchange at the Canadian bank in Toronto, told FX Week that its less bearish view on the dollar was supported by the comparably weak economic performance in the euro bloc.

"Combined with technicals, our forecast for non-trending, back and forth moves had us correctly predicting the current range-trading environment we now find the market tracing out," said Cooper.
